Renewal information

To renew your income protection policy, you simply need to continue payment by direct debit. As this is automated, month-by-month; no action is required on your part.

How to change your levels of cover

Columbus income protection allows you choose various types of cover. You can choose between Accident, Sickness and Unemployment, or Accident and Sickness only and should your salary change and you wish to increase, or decrease the actual amount of cover you receive you can do this too. Please note that if you change jobs you do have to notify us within 60 days of a change in net monthly salary which would result in your benefit exceeding 60% of your salary.

After your policy is up and running, if you wish to alter any of these options, please telephone 01132 558 611 to find out about the premium level and how to proceed.

How to cancel your policy

You have a statutory right to cancel this Policy by giving written notice to the Administrator, MMS of Melbourne House, Melbourne Street, Farsley, Pudsey, Leeds. LS28 5BT within 30 days of the Inception Date. We will refund all Premium You may have paid. No refund of Premium will be made after such 30 day period or where a claim has been made on the Policy.

You can cancel this Policy at any time by giving the Administrator at least 30 days written notice addressed to the Administrator, MMS of Melbourne House, Melbourne Street, Farsley, Pudsey, Leeds. LS28 5BT.

We may cancel this Policy at any time by giving at least 30 days written notice to You at Your last known address. This will not affect any rights to benefits which You may already have under this Policy which arise before the Termination Date.
