Customer Promise

Columbus introduces income protection that is consistent with our values for excellent service, and first-rate insurance.

Benefit levels and coverage all compare very favourably with the best offers around. We have always believed in the importance of having the right benefits and options for cover. People will shop around and it's important they feel confident they have the right cover to suit their needs. Our policy allows you to tailor your coverage by choosing how much monthly benefit you would receive, and by selecting whether you want cover for accident, sickness and unemployment, or for accident and sickness only.

Pricing is always an important consideration. Whilst several factors determine how much you are asked to pay for your monthly premium, for example your age when cover commences, we are pledging to offer pricing consistent with the best offers around. We always urge customers to go through a full quotation and compare this with other providers. When comparing products that appear to offer the same benefits it is important to check what exclusions are present, some policies may appear "cheap", but may also have very restrictive conditions when it comes to claiming your benefit — so always read the policy details before making your choice. Our promise is for good levels of benefit, with pricing among the most competitive out there.

Customer Service has always been a key area for Columbus, since we started in 1988. Columbus provides a range of contact options on our contact us page, if there are any aspects you still want to ask about after reading our FAQ section. Aftercare and claims service is also first-class, so you can be reassured (and have your questions answered promptly and professionally) of excellent service.

With Columbus income protection, our customer promise is for a rounded package: good benefits, the right pricing, and high levels of service when you need them.
